TuitionPoint was set up by Ken Tai (SLTG Director) to continue his passion for teaching in the private sector after a stint at a Singapore government school. After growing TuitionPoint to a chain of four, the entreprenuer itch never left him.

Teachers needed to tweak Math questions for reinforcement teaching and student practices. Manually doing so is not only labourious but is also prone to mistakes. SLTG launched ProblemSum.com in 2007, a portal that permutates Math questions and solutions, to address this pain. Half of Singapore primary schools liked it and adopted it. Without any subsidy, grant or investment, ProblemSum.com went from zero to a $1 million GST-registered company within 2 years.
